Tour Builder

What is Tour Builder? It is a new way to show people the places you've visited and the experiences you had along the way using Google Earth. It lets you pick the locations right on the map, add in photos, text, and video, and then share your creation.

How is Tour Builder different from the existing "KML Tour" feature in Google Earth?

Tour Builder is accessible from your web browser, makes it easy to add photos and videos to a sequence of locations on Earth, and then share links to these tours with your friends.

Sick to death of trying to find your files in Google Drive's #*$! search-based file system?  Can't find your stuff b/c you don't remember its exact name?  How about viewing your Google files in an orderly computer file system, the way the far superior cloud-based file synchronization system Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/h does?  (I have all my stuff in Dropbox, portable to me if I move school systems, but also because it is eminently easier to use than Drive, except for collaborating on a file, for which Google Slides and Docs are unbeatable).  Anyway, fix your file view with this app download (also available on Tech Classroom):
 https://www.google.com/drive/download/ .  One caveat:  you can't find here the things which only exist in the Cloud- that is, things you haven't downloaded to the file system from Google Drive.  If you search for something and it's not here, remember that it may be that you or a colleague created it in Drive and didn't file it here- you'll have to search your Drive by name or date, and remember how bad it used to be. 

I was feeling guilty for running around on Kahoot!, not to mention that I have created valuable content I didn't want to kiss goodbye in my newfound affair with Quizizz.  Then, Kahoot! wooed me back, with the new Challenge feature. 

I can now assign my Kahoots to be done as homework by by students, who then get the drill and the correct answers.  Too, they aligned this with Classroom, so I was just able to schedule a Classroom assignment of individually done Kahoots as homework or classwork while I am away- up it will pop in their Classroom feed this Wednesday, complete with a code they can plug in.  To get the results,

What is GIS mapping?

A geographic information system (GIS) are maps that help visualize, question, analyze, and interpret data to understand relationships, patterns, and trends. They can be used across the curriculum. 

This year Lori LaFrance's students are using the power of GIS mapping to analyze, and interpret salt march data. With the help of Glenn Hazelton, community member, and Northeastern professor, our students will be collecting salt march data using an app Glenn developed to upload data to a GIS map. They will be presenting their findings to the Mass Audubon Society held on November 17, 2017.
